"Ayza Chocolate & Wine Bar" 07/22/2008 Posted by Ling H "Very nice and cozy venue. Safe choice for dates (can't really go wrong with chocolates and wine) or just chilling out with friends on a warm summer night. It's rather small and there's limited seating inside (most tables and chairs are set up outside). I came here for dinner and thought the portion/flavours/price of the food is very decent. It's quite a low-key place, hardly pretentious and a perfect spot for a quite night out. I love the truffles as well as the warm molten chocolate cake (who doesn't?). For dinner they have a limited but tasty menu. The service was a little slow but it did not seem to matter with all the lovely tastes on the table. It is a great place to meet and enjoy a little decadence. Try the 20 layer crepes for desert. Its a must try!" for more reviews please click. The food is great, the service is slow but the presentation of food is great. These people really know that the devil is in the details. The hospitality is as expected from a high class restaurant. The Food is the fusion of great French - Italian Kitchen. The cheeses are well selected. And I do not have enough words to describe their desserts. The only thing that there was no paper towel in the restroom." for more reviews please click. "Great wine list, tasty chocolates!" Posted by Eric C. on 03/31/08 I was in NY for a conference and picked Ayza off City Search because it sounded great - and it was. When we arrived we were immediately greeted at the door, by who we later found out to be the owner. Our waitress was a little less then helpful with the menu, but the waitress at the next table was fabulous, so I guess it is just luck of the draw. They brought me the wrong meal, but immediately fixed it and offered us free dessert to make up for it. The owner was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place for either a romantic dinner or a dinner with friends. It is small so you want to get reservations.
